Visit museums, exhibitions and concerts.In Ål you find attractions as Torpo Stavechurch from 12th Century and Ål Culture House with Gallery Syningen, Rolf Nech-musum and the rosepainting museum Hallingrosa. At the culture house you also have the pleasure of seeing famous and loved artists, theatre shows, local talents and school shows.

Throughout the year Ål arranges several culture- and sportsevents. During the summer period you have Ål-Utstillinga(exhibition), the Ål-fair and Ål Cup in handball and football. Culture and folkmusic have central and long traditions in Ål, and every The Norwegian Folk Music Week is arranged in the last week of May. There are also several big arrangements during winter time; as Bendit Alpine Festival and Bendit Liatoppen Biathlon festival.
The centre of Ål is called Sundre, and Ål is the largest community in inhabitants and has the second largest area.
