Attractions

Ål has a wide spectre of attractions and sights throughout the community. Great cultural treasures like Torpo Stave Church, which is the last original stave church in Hallingdal. The Rolf Nesch-museum which holds the largest permanent exhibitions of his arts. There is also several cultural heritages, museums and galleries well worth a visit.

Ål Culture House is in the centre of Ål, and contains the Nesch-museum, Hallingrosa which proudly presents the art of Hallingdals famous rose painters and Gallery Syningen with its changing exhibitions.

Ål Church is open every weekday and a trip here is recommended. You can see the altarpiece and preachers chair which was saved from the torn down stave church and a copy of the famous painted church roof.
