Veståsen means ?west hill?; however it is also known as Sundreåsen (south hill), geographically more accurate as it lies to the south.)
Well prepared tracks run through forests and open marshland towards Dyna, which at 1,212 metres is the highest peak in the area. The track network offers great opportunities for roundtrips of varying length. The picnic area in Svarthamarlia is very popular amongst families with small children and is a quick and easy ski trip away from the parking lot.
Hallingdalsløypa sør(the Hallingdal track south) passes through this area.
It is toll road on the mountain roads to Veståsen. More information regarding price can be found by the toll road. There is often a parking fee on the parking spots during winter season.
