Hunting

Do you wish to combine fantastic nature experiences with excitment? Then you should go hunting in Ål. Ål Jeger- og fiskeforening (hunting- and fishing association) has 3 hunting areas in Veståsen with rich bird- and wildlife.

The hunting terrains are varied and you can hunt in the forest- or the moutainterrain for hare, capercaillie, black grouse and grouse. In order to hund for deer you need to be a member with Ål hunting association. It is unfortunately not allowed to bring a dog during the hunt in Ål JFF's terrains.

There are also magnificent hunting areas in Bergsjø, but these are unfortunately rented out on term of years. To buy hunting card in Ål JFF's terrains you can contact Trond Ellingsen, leader, G-Sport store or Kolsrud Sport in Ål.

There is also a hunting terrain in Fødalen Crown lands. To be able to go hunting here you need to send an application to Ål Fjellstyre by Sigmund Tveitehagen (phone +47 992 95 152) before 31st May. You can hunt ptarmigan without dog in the period between 21st Sept to 1st Nov. For gamehunting it is wild reindeer.
