Ål is proud to be a cultural- and nature community. Our powerful nature is something we wish to share with everyone seeking a peacful moment in beautiful and wild mountain areas.

We also have a culture house with two amphirooms for cinema, café, library, tourist information and exciting galleries and museums.
In the nature you can enjoy physical challenges and recreation in splendid surroundings, close contact with traditions, people and animals in summer farms. You decide whether the trip is by walking, cycling, with backpack and fishing pole.

The winter in Ål offers plenty of activities. As a cross-country enthusiast you can enjoy a spectacular 400 km of machine prepared tracks. Ål Skicentre and Skarslia Ski- and Toboggancentre suits everyone looking for alpine and sledgerides. The Bergsjø area is also an excellent start for a skitrip and hosts for kiting and skisailing.
